I understand it's hard for some to use the term concentration camp, even for those horrified by what's happening. And there are settings (e.g., court) where it may not be helpful today. The key thing to realize is that there's an arc of how detention regimes tend to go, and we're recognizably on it.

To be clear, my intention here is not to complain, but to say this--seeking internet validation for being "right" isn't fulfilling (it's taken me a while to grasp this lol), bc ultimately that's not what the internet cares about. Just do the work and stand by your process.

The people I trust most in a group is the person who says, “I don’t know.” Tied with the person who says, “I was wrong about ____.”
I think it’s really important when you get something wrong that you fix it. We are in an age of parasocial journalism where everyone is talking into tiny microphones. People have their faves and they trust what those faves say. If you get something wrong, fix it. It makes you more credible.
