I was getting bloodwork today and the woman was wearing a hijab. On her badge, the company made her take off her hijab in the picture I wanted to ask her about it but didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable. She should have been able to wear her hijab in her badge pic

I think it’s important that people give just as much, if not more criticism to Graham Platner and his terrible statement regarding October 7th. Yes. @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social statement was a disappointment but it was nothing compared to Platner’s statement

Being disabled costs a lot more than not being disabled.

Disabled folk are more likely to be in poverty, and many aren't allowed to accrue any savings.

So they have to resort to expensive, often unregulated, credit to survive... Costing even more. It's a horrible reality.
