Nobody wants to tell young men to just grow tf up—not when there’s money to be made in telling them there’s “a masculinity crisis” and “it’s just such a confusing time for young men, right now.”
Is it really a confusing time for young men? I mean… more confusing than it is for young women? Or is everybody just constantly telling young men it’s a confusing time for them?

Related: I feel like a lot of the piracy vs buying discourse (🤢 that this is even a thing) gets framed as stealing money from individual authors vs. stealing from faceless corporate publishers when for most authors it’s about whether or not they’ll get to publish another book.

A dear friend of mine made this mistake, and when she got to the ER, they looked at her and said, "oh, yeah, we call that Avocado Hand". If they have a special name for it in the Emergency Department, this is not a good cooking technique to use!
