This might be corny, but I woke up from a nap this afternoon to find my cat snuggling with me, purring his little heart out, and I thought -- how fortunate we are to have these companions that let us know how with every breath how happy they are, and that we are loved.

I keep wondering why Chester hasn't been using her tree lately and the answer is: I've been at home so the bedroom is open and she's been sleeping on the bed/bedroom window ledge.

I just spent an hour showing my mum every one of Chester's expressions and adventures so I think she has come to accept her young grandchild (also she tells her friends about her ☺️)
