So far - no surprise - focusing on birds in my watercolor attempts. We don’t get many Red-breasted Nuthatches but that one year - 2020-2021 - we did!

My nemesis bird this month! But I did see a flock of 50 at distance.
Show me your horns! Flocks of Horned Lark were foraging in the fields in my area (Northern Dutchess Co. NY), only a single Snow Bunting was seen. #birds #hornedlark #naturephotography #DutchessCoNY

Just had a sample of the Eaton Fire ash that is in my driveway run on the department XRF. Is there titanium (new house paint)? Yup. Lead (old house paint)? You betcha. Heavy metals? Check. Treat that ash like it's toxic folks (because it is)

My first post and my first attempt at a watercolor of a Snowy Owl. I was very moved to try to paint one since they have returned and the hoards of photographers are right on time. With deep sorrow for the beautiful Snowy hit by a car yesterday.
