Having worked for mentioned studio, (and a literal dozen other similar ones), it's funny that there isn't an immediate assumption that the studio would have their own contract with the client, which would idk maybe, ensure the client get the final say in decisions like these?
You’re not likely to hear anything from Rocket Sound or any studio about this unless they feel it necessary to weigh in.
But really - you’re suggesting that a studio should be able to do what the actor wants, and also obey the client’s demands.
That doesn’t make any sense.

If the studio did care about the actor and having them keep the role, they should be doing both what’s right for them and abiding by their clients’ contract requirements. Until we hear any info from Rocket Sound themselves on their side of this story, we don’t have the full picture.

Just casually remembering how the actors withholding work from Hoyo titles to gain AI protections kept pointing out that they would be legally on the hook if they agreed to work without them...
I care about the actor and keeping their role, but we live in a world where having legal documents for something like this matters a lot. Without legal documents like a contract, how can we stand for the actor in court if a lawsuit does happen?

⚖️ Don't settle for less just because you're hungry or fancy yourself savvy. Think about your colleagues: just because you negotiate a good contract for YOU doesn't mean THEY got the same one. (Unless, y'know, you were on a committee in front of millions and were transparent about the whole shebang)🙄
