Aw, Dina, thank you! I have wonky feet (wide and half a size difference between them so I have to buy 2 pairs of sneakers to make up one) so these shoes are, like, my ONLY CHOICE *laughing* which means laces are the only way to make them match my weird, goofy fashion ideas...

Making my own would never have occurred to me, but I stopped using Amazon about a year ago and blue shoelaces? Weirdly difficult to find online or locally. This scrap fabric is the perfect color. I made my own shoelaces! On the right, my old shoelaces, and on the left, the shoelaces I just finished making. You can get fancy metal aglets or heat shrink tubing but I used good old scotch tape (see: Going To High School (1/??)

Autumn is definitely here. It was the first morning I wished I had gloves and long sleeves. Funny how different days I see different animals. For a while it was mostly skunks, then deer and one day all I saw was a coyote. Today there were so many rabbits and a lovely heron. #cycling
