I'm probably alone on this, but I would love a spin-off focused on the Sailor Power Guardians. I don't get why the '90s anime didn't include them (as if little girls don't love the heck out of fairies). Slice-of-life adventures set in all the girls' castles (big playset potential) would be so fun!

Even some promotional/merch art for S prominently featured the Moon Castle and Princess Serenity. It seems odd that they would push that as a motif only to not actually tie it into the main plot in any way.

I find it interesting how the OP and ED for S, along with the stock footage for Moon Spiral Heart Attack, all showcase the Moon Kingdom despite Silver Millennium/everyone's past lives having virtually nothing to do with the season. I wonder if it was meant to play more of a role initially?

It's strange to see group art placing Uranus and Mercury with equal prominence in the foreground (and not putting Uranus and Neptune side-by-side). Short hair supremacy, I guess.

Nyanko's remark about "girls who dress and act like boys" is the only real indication that the Three Lights are supposed to be posing as boys in the manga, but even then, she could just be referring to their androgyny; it's an ambiguous enough statement.
