Hey y’all! REMINDER:

I am LEGALLY OBLIGATED to award at least one scholarship to a Louisiana woman. And no Louisiana women have applied. This happens every year where we have to beg women in my own state to apply and Idk why. We’re in our 6th cycle! Come get this money! ThurmanPerryFoundation.org

LMFAO. Hilton customer service said “girl just sleep on it”
It's worth your time to call Hilton to cancel your account with them. 1-800-446-6677. Here's why:

They asked me if it was because of the ICE thing. I said it was. Then they suggested I wait a couple days to see if they were going to change course.

The pressure is getting to them. Let's keep it up.

At a time when interest in handmade textile art is exploding, Liz Collins’s use of machines and mills draws on intimate histories of craftsmanship and production.
Liz Collins Explodes Cliches About Crafts
In her textile-based practice, she calls attention to what holds a piece together or the ways some works seem ready to come apart.

You’re telling me there’s no HOA or Historical Society out here putting a stop to this?
Psst, hey kid, wanna see a perfect visual metaphor?

The multicultural viejitos of Bay Ridge are really out here with creative cat calls. Yesterday: I tell you, we gotta keep the block clean, we have beautiful women walking. Today: that shade of red really is the best shade of red. Still have your droolers out here too.

I am heartbroken this morning to learn Discover is now Capital One, because I despise Capital One. This is not the first time it has happened and I have terminated those accounts in response to my hate in the past. But I have loved Discover.

As of today— at least a case in NYC where someone had a foreigner captive for a month for Crypto.
I was talking about this with some people a couple weeks ago. I’m not sure regular readers fully appreciate what’s happening in the crypto/crime/finance world? But it is very much part of our current political reality.

A man pulls a flaccid dick out on the Canal St. platform and attempts to stroke. I am not his audience— reserved for the woman diagonally across from me, window aisle. And I think how I hadn’t seen one in a while— but also, just how she and I go about our days existing.

There’s an episode of Gilmore Girls where Lorelai is basically like: “I like my life & choices, but sometimes— I do wish I had a partner, just to take the load a bit. To lean on.” You know, I’m so tired. Not enough to settle in love, career, or lifestyle, but TIRED of constantly fighting for my life

Folks recognizing #Raye’s talent feels like such a win. I love “Prada”— I think it gets dismissed as pop, but those vocals were top tier from the jump. Seriously, focus on the actual vocals.

I think regular people should be able to go into the Criterion closet and talk about which movies make them happy.

I volunteer to be the first.

Can everyone respect the work of photojournalists risking their lives and name them when they post their images? I mean it is theft so at least give them something.

#Shrinking is such a great show. I really appreciate the ways it shows persevering and courage even when we’re at our lowest for the chance at change and growth.

Question for #journalists… if a reporter writes an unpublished article with sources, and then dies/is killed— are those sources still allowed to be used? Or does whoever takes over the story have to get their own permission from those sources to stay on the record?
