The HSE recommends an upper limit of 800ppm of CO2.  Irish Study shows limit was breached consistently during school hours, with values over 1500ppm.  Peaks of 3,803ppm (almost five times the recommended level) were recorded on many occasions

It's still hard to believe how *bonkers* it is that the Minister said — out loud — that she wanted to review the advice about staying off school when sick (To what? Go to school while sick?) rather than facing the reality that illness is a major cause of school absences.

Two weeks ago, when reacting to the 2022/23 school attendance report, the Minister for Education was dismissive of illness as being a factor.

Today, a separate report shows that child admissions to adult ICU *more than doubled* in 2023.
