that was the aim for the game in the clip since one of the challenges comes from having a very limited ammo capacity and enemies having really good hearing (almost to treat attacking as a last resort) 😁

been using chromatic aberration as an alternative to screenshakes by just offsetting the RGB values towards a set direction and distance which just gets lerped back.

feel like it achieves a similar feeling of intensity without taking away visiblity too much?

Btw, as the Itchio noise and all died down, Adult games are technically just banned now.

Some adult games are still being sold, yes, but if you get caught or reported or whatever, all your payment options will be yanked and only a husk remains.

Playtime Duration being the core KPI for whether a game will be able to keep a studio alive is causing so much potential in projects to be drowned out due to so many deriviative games with little to no innovation being pushed cuz they had market validation first instead of the other getting a chance

haven't seen much devs speak about how making games for an audience can paralyse you when trying to design for yourself, you end up second guessing yourself to the point of thinking no idea is good enough.

At first it the shooting was tied to turning clockwise/anti-clockwise , but that was too finicky and it became what you see which is it being automatically attacking when any enemy is within attack range

BBBlaster, an old project, started from an idea of trying to create a one-button Hotline Miami.

I eventually dropped the project since I felt no hope in the project being worth it in the end, also fun fact helped me overcome my fear of dogs.
