This is Jordan Neely, a Michael Jackson impersonator who was also homeless. I used to see him on the subway regularly. This week, while he was panhandling, a Marine murdered him with his bare hands.
The Marine was not charged, and our governor, Kathy Hochul, blamed Neely for his own murder.

My heart sank when I saw the new Shopify layoffs. I was part of the first round of layoffs a year ago. Got a role and a month later, I was laid off again and I still haven’t found a FTE role.

Yikes, it only took a few days for the energy to shift to being aimlessly argumentative. How exhausting it must be to always be at the ready to generate animosity, with no real goal in mind. 🥴

* Applied to a 1500 -/+ jobs.
* 6 interviews
* Ghosted 3 times
* 1 role internally filled
* 1 hiring freeze
* During last interview of 4, was told that I’m overqualified and to not undersell
Things are looking good.
