The only tool ICE has is force. They cannot penalize legal activity through the courts and their efforts to do so are destroying the DOJ.
This is unreal. An AUSA talking like that in open court is about as close as you can come to a total breakdown. Never heard of anything like it.

Because there’s no functioning theory behind any of this. There’s just a set of nonsensical rules, which are deployed selectively in dominance contests in the loosely organized activist network. Iron law of institutions.

Also, for the record, this isn't a left-liberal-center thing. Ultimately if you're doing the work it doesn't matter AT ALL what your politics are. There are many good contributors from all over the spectrum. The problem is that these networks CANNOT work well if they're closed, vetted affairs.
Okay, I'm now hearing reports of other locals being removed from Minnesota rapid response for interacting with press, as well as some "organizers" instituting onerous screening processes to join these networks.
It's time for local leaders to step in. These policies are incredibly counterproductive.

The chats were always open and infiltrated by the feds. I was told this the day I joined. You cannot screen them out by kicking out press - most people are still getting in through an open link. You are literally kicking out people whose presence protects observers while keeping the feds.
What we are seeing is an organic network infected with a virus. The chat has been penetrated by feds, it is transforming to respond to the threat.
If you dont like it. MAKE YOUR OWN THING. Stop complaining and organize around your issue. If so many are affected, this shouldn't be an issue.
