They had years to investigate…unless they didn’t start until AFTER the new administration took office. That would support the argument that this is a politically motivated prosecution.

Why did they indict if they had not reviewed all the evidence and weren’t ready? Likely to be an argument in those pre-trial motions about vindictive prosecution and abuse of the grand jury process.
