I have never really introduced myself on here. Hello! I work in the startup world as a Solutions Architect by day, and at night I write and write and write. I’m a queer, leftie Londoner with two cats, and big dreams that involve steady access to tea. Please feel free to say hi!

My New Year’s resolution is to finish more projects. Over the course of the last year I’ve worked on a good five or six, three of which are in a good state for Q1 and one is ready to go on the App Store in another month or so.

Trying to come up with other topics but my favourite movies I watched this year were not from this year! I fell in love with Toshiro Mifune and Ingrid Bergman as well as Wong Kar-Wai so many of the movies I watched were pre-2000.

Thinking about it now here on January 1, 2026, the best book I read last year was Pride and Prejudice. I know, please be amazed at my thoroughly modern sensibilities.

It’s been an interesting year with many ups and downs. I’ve cut down on my internet usage and time spent on social media in favour of more constructive hobbies like (checks notes) dying in dark souls over and over and over.

I’m really enjoying Frieren but I do find myself questioning the narrative choice of ‘the bad guys are an entire race of people that look just like you and me but they’re also incapable of empathy or goodness so kill them on sight’. A troubling authorial decision.

I wasn’t very knowledgeable about their work before this but I had the opportunity to see Blackpink at Wembley stadium last night. I was hit by a 2.5 hour concussion grenade that made me a Blink. Rosé, my first born children will be sacrificed at your altar.
