Hasan is annoying in lots of ways that I think are all reasonable reasons to think he sucks and should fuck off! I just don't think he's going Raiden on his dog in front of his stream, and that he would have already if he was gonna. By all means don't let me stop you from hating on streamers

dude they're *very* popular in the US. They sell tens of thousands of them a year. I've seen these systems where they put up a perimeter around the yard and if the dog moves past the boundary they get shocked. Understand it for main roads but the way some people use this shit is depressing af

If I was bro I'd be hesitant to give in to shit being brewed up by tecfuckintone and kiwi but yeah it'd be easy enough to wrap up. and yeah I dunno, it's not my dog and I'm not even watching the streams, I can think of a lot of reasons for asking a dog to stay put while I'm not able to keep an eye

Lastly, and this is conjecture, but every shock collar I've seen has a distinctive box structure on the side the collar in the video lacks; it resembles, to my eye, a airtag collar like this. No light either, which isn't unheard of but is a little unusual for a shock collar.

Further, the dog has been in the streams for like 2 years now, since she was a puppy. She's had multiple people spend a lot of time loving on her and even last week inspecting her collar and not one of them mentioned it being a shock collar. Using it "sneaky" infront of 30k people seems implausable

I think this is RW astroturfing tbh.

I've worked with dogs for decades and seen shock collars used (never myself). In the video when the dog yelps, you can see her dewclaw get caught on the bed, she raises the same paw up in pain and resettles right after. That isn't a common reaction to shocking.
