Just when we thought our problems were paid for the night, we got hit with a security deposit and we’re $85 short. Had they mentioned that on the booking site we wouldn’t have paid here. Worse, unless we come up with the deposit, we don’t get a key to our room or our money back until morning! Nuts!

Homeless people are not the enemy.

They can’t “just try harder” their way into housing.

It’s the system that’s failing.

Most of us are one emergency away from being homeless ourselves.

We need affordable housing, universal basic income, healthcare & social supports.

We need a safety net

Just know that “conversion therapy” is three incoherent pseudoscientific ramblings standing on each other’s shoulders under a trench coat. It’s not therapeutic (it doesn’t help, does net harm), it doesn’t convert (practically no “success” documented), and it should absolutely be banned.

Maybe you wouldn't have to shut down the government if you could vote on bills separately instead of trying to sneak a lot of bad bills in with a few good ones. This is just another way for a bad person to get too much power.

Ads targeting trans people are just plain wrong. If it were blatant racism or targeting disabled people, or targeting ones sex, it wouldn't be accepted today. Ads targeting any minority should not be accepted at all.

Greta Thunberg is obviously a heroic person by any measure, she is quite obviously the kind of person who any decent society would hope they see their reflection in. It is remarkable how cruelty is so common place that people will openly hate her, and in really vicious ways, with no shame.
