Whatever gender a client tells you they are, you refer to them as that. You *do not need* to start *every* case file note by crapping on that "[dead name] shall be referred to as their preferred name from here on in". There's nothing professional about re-deadnaming clients because of bigotry

This news is particularly troubling for me. I spent a few weeks in Mandalay in 2018 spending time with people in their schools, in their community and in their homes. They were so generous with their time and incredible food. Every time I see news like this I fear for all the people and kids I met.

I’ve actually thought about this as my kid sends me TikTok vids which are pretty newsworthy, however, I tend not to believe them unless I’ve previously read about it myself and I find the videos are pretty spot on. I probably need to open up more to the videos but I need to read it.
