To the left of this moat, every Sunday is the Chiang Mai Sunday Walking Street Market, something that was initiated long ago by my great aunt.

Within Doi Inthanon is Ban Mae Klang Luang, a Karen village… where you can find a little hut to try their coffee (and by “their” I mean they planted, roasted, ground, and brewed everything themselves). Some of the best coffee I’ve had out here. 🇹🇭

Last night’s dinner spread that I’m still a bit full from. This is also only half of the table.
A table filled with a variety of Thai dishes, including fried fish, clear soups with vegetables, spicy stir-fries, a colorful papaya-style salad, sautéed greens, grilled meats served with fresh herbs and nuts, and assorted dipping sauces. The dishes are arranged in pink, blue, and patterned bowls and plates, creating a vibrant, abundant meal setting.

Took a Shinkansen over to Osaka. Immediately went to an unagi restaurant that has been cooking up eel for 300+ years.

Also my first time trying kimosui soup! And yes, it was all very delicious and worth it.

Working from NYC for a bit is always fun. Feels weird to be returning to Minneapolis today, but can’t think of a better way to end my trip than with a sold out Sleep Token show in Brooklyn. 🖤
