Social media is simple; if you don’t like someone’s post, you don’t need to comment and be an a$$. Just find the content you like instead.
You don’t like my posts? F**k off!

Backgrounds are HARD, and let's be honest - most of us want to focus on the figure.

But backgrounds help tell the story of our characters, and they shouldn't be neglected. That doesn't mean we have to start by drawing huge, hyper-detailed scenes for our characters from scratch.

👇A thread.

So I have this idea that I'm going to have to try.

I made some homemade cranberry sauce, and I have some vanilla ice cream.

So why not make a cranberry milkshake?

I don't know how we can stifle Elon Musk. He has untold wealth, speaks with world leaders directly, controls businesses with far-reaching impact - global AND beyond, and he facilitated electoral victory and has a blank check to grift.
I only know that we need to get off X and stop buying Tesla's.

People may be ditching the news, but it’s not because of the results of the election. It’s because people are sick and tired of corporate media covering Joe Biden’s choice of footwear with more zeal than Donald Trump’s threat to democracy.
The latest news? Not right now, thanks.
Some people disappointed in Donald Trump’s win are quitting the news entirely.

You know. When we started our resistance accounts on Twitter in 2016, I didn’t think we’d be doing it 8 years later.

I want to thank all the people that have been at it every day since day one.

Thank you. 🖖

Bluesky is proof that cryptocurrency isn't a core tenant of decentralization. The team demonstrated extreme levels of pragmatism by leveraging new and existing technologies to produce something people actually use.

The tech migration from Twitter continues. One by one.
I'm making a similar shift now. It's time.
Today was my last post on Twitter. I'll be using this account going forward while I contemplate the value of social media in my daily life.

I would like legit blue checkmarks here. It's always better when notable people, journalists and elected reps are easily identifiable.

💡 Tip: You can set your website as your username on Bluesky!

This is one form of self-verification, and we especially encourage official organizations and brands to do this! Examples include @npr.org @react.dev @duolingobrasil.com.br.

I’m not asking for much. I just think comic artists should be credited. I think audiences would really dig the acknowledgement too. Money would be nice, obviously, but just some credit would go miles.

I write in a bunch of genres but the genre I've never hit & is probably the hardest genre? Historical Romance. Holy shit. They research like serious librarians. They thrive at romance & do hard core time period stuff at the same time? Naw. They're the decathlon team. I'm just a nerd who words.

Before Bluesky I had no idea how many people use ALT text to help understand images. From those with screen readers for vision issues to those with bad internet that can't load images & more. So please make your images accessible to more people by adding alt text! See the helpful thread below
