After the $100M privatization boondoggle...

"...AHS took over provincial laboratory testing and returned Alberta to a fully public model. By December, 2023, patient waiting times were reduced by 76%."

The same day as this report is released, UCP announced more privatization.

Our city has so many hidden stories, like this one by Russell Cobb & Sarah Brandvold—a brilliantly researched piece about an Egyptian mummy in the U of A museum archives. It asks deep questions about repatriation, human dignity and how museums reckon with the past.

This clip is WILD!

Not only does Smith concede that schools boards have been doing a good job of keeping inappropriate materials out of schools…

She also makes it clear that she wants to be the moral arbiter of what kids can read.

With no background in education.

2012 Danielle Smith must be so conflicted.

On one hand, she's days away from realizing her dream of locking out all public school teachers in the province.

On the other, she's having to fight to keep Atlas Shrugged on high school library shelves after people took her book ban literally.

The UCP's response to school boards interpreting their book ban regulation should sound familiar.

Throughout her tenure as premier, Smith's defenders have told us to take her seriously, just not *literally.*

Populists across North America have said the same thing when called out for bad laws. +

There's a very simple rule to end all book bans:

Politicians aren't allowed to ban a book they haven't read.

There is a stark disconnect btw MAGA's extreme anti-socialism rhetoric and MAGA's "central planning" & "Big Government" economic policies.

Truly bizarre (and Mao would've been proud!).

To take the government's survey, you must watch a video for each topic.
On immigration, the video suggests Alberta stop taking refugees and take away the funding for their social programs.
