Who let him aboard Enterprise? Security! Yellow alert!

Came here to say obnoxious lights, mounted so they only shine his direction, arranged to almost - but - not - quite spell out rude messages.

Ah, well, that's the genius of complementarianism. The roles are fixedly gendered. It doesn't matter what someone might rather do.

Another fun fact is the best Chanukah songs were written by Woody Guthrie
Fun fact*: 80-90% of your favorite 20th century Christmas songs were written, composed or famously performed by Jews. They were re-writes of Chanukah songs and they were all angry, tired, or sad. (Some of the sadness crossed over.) This is why everyone thinks there are no Chanukah songs.

He's eternally upset.

Yeah, although, Halloween Town - as conceived by Burton and interpreted by Elfman - is clearly a shtetl and therefore sister city to Chanukah. (Not that it would keep them from going to war with each other, of course, that being the spirit of the latter's season after all.)

Yes. Just as one can seal a wrap or taco by grilling or deep-frying after the fact. That doesn't make it a turnover.

THAT is a grilled sandwich, specifically a panino.

Curses.

(That is, the filling may not be, but isn't the dough?)
December 1, 2025 at 1:06 AM
Aren't most filled dumplings assembled raw?
December 1, 2025 at 1:04 AM
But even if not, that would still include ravioli as pies. Uncrustables would just be a weird one-off made possible by industrial bread.
December 1, 2025 at 12:44 AM
Update: I may have argued myself out of Uncrustables being pies. It hinges on the pie vs [every other doughy layer / enclosure assembly] distinction possibly being that pie dough cooks after assembly where everything else uses already cooked dough. In other words: are open-faced sandwiches pies?

That catches me every time!

Uncrustables are also pies!

Ravioli are pies!

Jeffries: SFNC!
Me: STFU. The longer you go with no ceiling, the sooner and harder the topmost take an axe to the floor. Some of them even mean well when they do it. This is a law of social reproduction.

No value, no villain, no vision. Sounds like the tagline for the earnings call of a collapsing appliance retailer
