I hope you read all the replies and quotes explaining why and how what you are saying essentially calls for trans people to be harmed and killed. marginalized people’s rights are your rights too. know that instead of doubling down, you can learn from this and apologize and update yourself.

weird to me that people like this can't imagine someone else subbed in for "trans rights". Even if we allow them an inability to understand these struggles are absolutely/inextricably connected you'd think they could at least see the question of whether people have human rights is non negotiable. 🤷‍♂️

I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can’t protect ANY groups if we can’t win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That’s not “erasing” them; it’s long-horizon strategy.

Using AJ Link as an example, his current situation is that Bluesky, the Barnes & Nobles of atproto have banned him from their stores and essentially blackballed him from the publishing industry.

“Conversion therapy” is a euphemism for child abuse, and every mainstream medical and mental health organization has rejected this practice for decades. There is no evidence that it does anything besides harm children. It is one of the few subjects where there is an overwhelming medical consensus.

Conversion therapy is universally opposed as harmful by major medical organizations, including (but not limited to) the American Academy of Child Adolescent Psychiatry, American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, American Medical Association(AMA), American Psychiatric Association, American Psychological Association (APA), and the American School Health Association.
