4yrs on from waking to sudden hearing loss-SSHL. It’s amazing how such a shitty situation actually led to lots of positives. I wouldn’t choose it, but if I knew then what I know now, it would have been less terrifying. It would have been nice if this little lady didn’t lose her hearing too though.

What a world to go to bed thinking about one mass shooting and wake up to news of another, a targeted hate crime, at a Hanukkah celebration in Sydney. And also in the video where an actual hero, Ahmed al Ahmed chooses not to kill one of the terrorists.

i don't think this is even a real statistical anomaly anymore. it seems like there's someone in the crowd at every mass shooting who has been through it before. this doesn't have to be our shared cultural experience.

I was up in the middle of the night watching Australian news coverage.

They were asking Australians on the street for their reactions, and one of them said that, prior to today, they had only seen mass shootings through American TV footage.

What a shameful and terrible legacy our country has.

No word on the shooter or motive of the shooter at Brown University.
Two students dead & 9 critically wounded
Senseless and horrific - I am so sick of this country and its obsession with and baffling acceptance of guns and violence. Terrible news.

I've loved Sigourney Weaver ever since one of my all-time favorite movies, ALIEN. Couldn't resist going all fanboy on her yesterday & asking for a photo. She told me she's now in the cast of The Mandalorian. Talk about bad timing: she's now in that galaxy far, far away, years after I checked out! 💔

If you're in the White House press corps, still showing up to your job every day and not saying anything as Trump attacks your colleagues -- almost always women, I'd add -- then this is on you as well.
Reporter: “Are you committed to releasing the full video?”

Trump: “Didn't I just tell you that?”

Reporter: “You said that it was up to Sec. Hegseth.”

Trump: “You are the most obnoxious reporter in the whole place…You are an obnoxious, actually a terrible reporter.”
