And here's the damage to my original case, which was Apple's Techwoven case. Just the volume buttons are no longer usable. It's not a fault with the case. I don't think "snatched out of one's hand during a windstorm" was on the use case scenario and it did its job. My phone is still pristine.

My first iPhone 17 Pro case sacrificed itself saving my phone, so I splurged on the PopSockets one.
Super freak accident. The wind snatched my phone out of my hand and the fall destroyed the volume buttons.

So we're halfway through January, which means it's the perfect time for me to post some of my favorite photos for 2025. Most of these I shot for work. I love my job, and it's really hard to pick favorites. I also shot a concert for a good friend and visited Montreal and had other adventures.

Someone did a massive fan edit of Babylon 5, recutting it into a series of movies. It's a fantastic piece of fan creativity and love of the original work

I decided to keep the 105mm lens. The cost, way below even used sites, could not be beat. I will eventually get the 85mm.
I wandered through Messiah University, testing it out. I didn't venture far because ... bees. Lots of bees. Too many bees, as you can see when you zoom in on the first picture.
