I think Mireia's most endearing trait is that she's bold & insistent on living her life the way *she* wants to. She can be a goof & def has her vulnerabilities, but she's not shy or cowed by power.

Contemplating the possibility speared her mind with hate. A god brought down from its throne, worms gnawing at its divinity. Yet… it also struck her with a pang of clarity: she followed Datusha’s train of thought and realised where it was going.

I can free the corrupted god with your blade.

“Precisely! You can end Onaga’s misery, and by doing so, bless your soul with divine Breath.”

She imagined it: climbing down the unforgiving dungeons of the Chasm, assaulted by the stench of decaying flesh and rotting hope. Discovering the restless grave of the Last Dragon God, and upon the profane altar, the magnificent being reduced to a husk of its former glory. Begging her to thrust Datusha’s light into its hollowed heart. And its essence, by the blade purified, flowing into her soul. Cleansing it. Hallowing it.

Definitely! As much as I love all the (brutal) action scenes in EF, I'm really excited to write the chapters in Book 2 where she'll get to explore more of that curious and scholarly nature of hers!
