American city governments would also throw a fit about letting people just freely flow across the tracks like see in Europe. In Santa Monica they put up fencing along the street-running light rail route to pen pedestrians in that would do jack shit to keep a motorist from plowing through it.

Hm, this guy said he couldn't get insurance for his Class 3. He also said NJ MVC won't register Class 3s at it is so no way are they registering a pedal assist without someone in the state gov forcing them to. nyc.streetsblog.org/2025/12/19/n...
