I'm well aware of the Washington Post's gruesome flaws, but this specifically makes me sad. As a kid I learned how to read in general and how to read newspapers specifically from the Washington Post's sports section.

Tony Dokoupil recently criticized the old CBS, saying it "put too much weight in the analysis of academics or elites & not enough on you [ie, regular Americans]." This explains why CBS just hired Niall Ferguson, who's British, a professor at Stanford & a hedge fund consultant.
