I am so grateful for your support and thrilled if you can share my page with anyone else who might help 💛🏃‍♀️

As a scientist at CMRI, I see firsthand how tough funding is. So much good science just doesn’t get funded. Your support really does make a difference.

As a mum, especially of a child with disabilities, I know the impact genetic conditions have on family life. This research truly changes lives.

This yea, I’m running City2Surf to raise money for Children’s Medical Research Institute 🏃‍♀️💙

I’m already over halfway to my $5K goal! Every dollar counts 🙌 And today is EOFY – a great time for an extra tax deduction while supporting kids’ health 💛

I want to give a shout out to my friends and family who have donated to my #C2S fundraising campaign for @cmri.bsky.social.

To be over halfway to my goal in less than a week is beyond amazing and I am so grateful!

Medical research gives us hope. It leads to better diagnostics, more effective treatments, and ultimately, less suffering. Every dollar raised helps us move closer to breakthroughs that can change lives. 🧪
scientistkate.bsky.social
I know this firsthand, not just as a scientist, but as a mum. My child lives with disabilities, and I’m very aware the impact these conditions have on families. The uncertainty, the constant medical appointments, and the hope for a better future. This is why I run and why I'm fundraising. 🧬

The research at CMRI, like mine, is to help the 1 in 20 children that are born with a birth defect or genetic disease. These aren’t just numbers — they’re real kids, real families. 💔
scientistkate.bsky.social
At CMRI, I study chromatin biology and genome stability — that is, I want to understand how the 3D structure of our DNA protects its integrity. When DNA integrity is lost and damage persists in the DNA, this is a major driving force disease development particularly for cancer.
