The latest figures show R&D investment isn’t even keeping up with inflation, let alone fuelling productivity.
Slide with headline stating 'Latest figures show government spending on R&D is in decline, again.' Background is blue with a minimalist design. Image displaying text about the Australian Government's commitment to investing in R&D. It discusses ongoing scrutiny of R&D investments and mentions a potential $400 million from the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF). Image of AC Professor AC Fung FISTE, President of the Australian Academy of Science, with a quote about R&D investment's impact on Australia's economy. Promotional image for the Australian Academy of Science featuring text that says 'Read our full response at science.org.au' on a dark blue background, with the organisation's logo at the top and bottom.
