What is the point of having this list? Other than 1943 pennies, I guess, what part of "You may only insert valid U.S. coins or paper bills of the type accepted by the kiosk and that are clean, not written on or defaced, not bent, not ripped, and not otherwise damaged" is unclear?

Also depends on who's doing the perceiving, of course. As another example, people who live in NY wouldn't consider most anything north or west of, say, Albany, to be "upstate". We talk about Central NY, Western NY, the Southern Tier, etc.
