If it wasn’t for SNAP (formerly known as food stamps) I wouldn’t be alive today. Most of my childhood it was the primary way my mom put food on the table. We still went hungry some days. I also used SNAP when I was homeless in 2019. Why have a government that won’t protect its most vulnerable?
I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.
