Reminder that the rest of us also try to save etc but that comes out of our pay not some other secret pot. Pretending that you live „modestly” on 75k is actually an insult when
1. Your savings etc are still your income
2. Median gross salary in uk is 37k (www.ons.gov.uk/employmentan...)

In our local there’s a section of old books and it’s fun just to sit there and browse.
