It's on my bernina q20, happens when I sew a long path right to left using a ruler guide. He found some info about how the thread unspools causing the problem

My husband looked up something similar that was happening to me and found that using a thread net may help. Mine was shredding in the front of the machine on free motion sewing in lines right to left with 50 wt aurafil.
