Saw Superman for the second time tonight. A month after it opened in a half full theatre, there was still lots of laughter and excitement. Also genuine surprise in a few spots, so at least some of the audience must have been seeing it for the first time. Applause at the end. Movie of the summer.

Aww man - losing Peter David hurts. I did my best to follow most everything he wrote. Among my favorite comics runs. There was a time when the only Marvel comics I was reading was his Hulk. Condolences to his wife and family.
