There’s zero possibility of Trump leaving office with all this oil reserves at his disposal. He’s definitely going for a third term.

Mass boycott of the World Cup??

The more people read, the better our world will be. No need be critical in any way of people’s desire to learn and develop through their love of books.
Whatever happens now, we absolutely cannot allow Trump's refusal to seek Congressional authorization for what appears to be a large scale military attack on another country vanish from the media discussion, which already appears to be happening.

Will only take a few dead US soldiers to finally kill off Trump. Just signed his won death warrant.

Another Vietnam upcoming. Does he really believe the Venezuelans won’t rise up?!?!?? On a more important point, when will the remaining Elpstein files be released?

You have a duty to recommend your fav books if you have read such an impressive number!!
I somehow read 110 books in 2025, and yet rarely commented on them over here as far as I can tell.
Do people want to hear more about books? I can break down my “favourite books of 2025” instagram posts into a thread, if anyone if looking for some more reading material?

I think I had a good reading year in 2025 but I don’t want to risk offending anyone by sharing some of the titles read. These days, It seems like it’s frowned upon to even choose to read.

We all have to respect how people cope with grief, but then again…..

Not for me. I can escape from all the doom by reading non fiction and I also feel a need to read what really is going on out there, even if it can be tough reading. The Gates of Gaza is a good example.

I read every day, it’s my comfort blanket from all the madness happening around us. I feel desperately sorry for the younger generation who don’t generally have my passion for reading.
Buy a book.

Any book, it doesn't matter which. The one you've been looking forward to, the one with the title that made you laugh, the weighty award-winner you've been meaning to get to. Whatever.

Treat yourself. Step away from it all. In this time of gross ignorance & madness, read something.
