Though I suppose it is perhaps a bit lazy not to expand what Luke, Leia, and Han were doing in the intervening years, which is a problem with that whole trilogy, I honestly think it gets more hate than it deserves, and backtracking on it is what finally sank that ship.

I honestly had a lot of fun with it, I left the theater happy and was shocked to wake up finding the internet had exploded.

AHAH I did not care about Luke Skywalker though, only saw the OG trilogy in college. I think a lot of the anger is 'My POV character is a failure', and a few writing issues.
