Today I am introducing the ICE Murder Rebate Act. It will provide a $50 tax credit for any citizen murdered by ICE. I hope my friends on both sides of the aisle will support this common-sense legislation to help murdered Americans dealing with higher prices.

A terrific example of how President Trump is failing everyday Americans. When will he do something about the rising cost of food?

Why aren't Minnesota officials worried about the rising costs of food and housing? They need to hire some consultants to poll swing voters.
Minnesota officials renewed their calls on Friday for state agents to be allowed to help investigate the fatal shooting of a woman by an ICE officer earlier this week. “Our ask is to embrace the truth,” Mayor Jacob Frey of Minneapolis said.

I'm sure we can come to a reasonable, bipartisan compromise. Negotiaters inform me that we might be able to get a 10% reduction in ICE murders.

Johnson ‘concerned’ ICE shooting will hamper funding negotiations as shutdown looms
The speaker said it’s “a terrible idea’ to limit funding for the immigration enforcement agency. Speaker Mike Johnson is worried Democratic demands for placing limits on immigration enforcement funding in the wake of the deadly shooting this week in Minnesota will disrupt larger government funding negotiations. The Louisiana Republican told reporters Friday it’s “a terrible idea” to curtail funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as some Democrats have demanded, after an ICE agent fatally shot a woman in Minneapolis. “We should not be limiting funding for Homeland Security at a dangerous time,” Johnson said. “We need officials to allow law enforcement to do their job. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is a critically important function of the government. It is a top concern for Americans, as demonstrated by the last election cycle.” Congress has until Jan. 30 to avoid a partial shutdown, with more than 75 percent of government programs still needing to be funded. Johnson said he thinks Congress can still prevent a shutdown by that time. Appropriators are scrambling to finalize the DHS spending measure as soon as this weekend to ride in a package alongside the State-Foreign Operations and Financial Services funding measures. Leaders are hoping to release bill text Sunday evening, according to three people granted anonymity to share internal plans. The Homeland funding bill was already one of the most contentious spending fights this cycle. But Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, the top Democrat overseeing DHS appropriations in the Senate, is insisting that the measure crack down on the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement policies. “Democrats cannot vote for a DHS budget that doesn’t restrain the growing lawlessness of this agency,” Murphy posted on social media following the shooting. Some Democrats want to bar ICE agents from wearing masks and carrying out law enforcement efforts without uniforms that identify their agency. “We feel that this is a practice that not only is troubling, but that it will also contribute to a growing distrust between law enforcement in general and at our population,” Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-N.Y.), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, said at a news conference Friday. But Espaillat also said problems with ICE run far deeper. “I was of the belief that perhaps we could reform ICE. Now I am of the belief that it has to be dismantled as an entity,” he said. “This unaccounted for violence is part of its culture. And so we must dismantle it and build it from the ground up again.”

When will Donald Trump stop focusing on murder, and start focusing on rising costs?
A day after a federal immigration agent shot and killed a woman in her vehicle in Minneapolis, federal agents in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday shot a man and a woman in their car. The confrontations have prompted criticism of federal agencies for allowing officers to open fire on moving vehicles.

My donors inform me that we desperately need to reduce the cost of living for California's beleaguered billionaires. That's why I'm sponsoring a bill that would provide every billionaire in California a tax credit of $1 million.

40 votes against 😉

What my good friend Vivek fails to understand is that we must maintain a good functioning relationship with this coordinated influence. As they say, one hand washes the other.
Vivek Ramaswamy has deleted his Twitter and Instagram accounts because, he says, it’s “coordinated influence that hides behind armies of avatars, creating a false impression of grassroots support”.

This behavior is the engine that runs MAGA, so it’s interesting to see him acknowledge that.

Much to my surprise, it seems that the Trump administration may not be fully truthful about this. Does the president know about this?

Once again, I am asking my colleagues from across the aisle to support a bipartisan commission to get to the bottom of this.

Believe in the plan. We are ready to filibuster this extension. Or is it the other side that filibusters this one? I can never remember.

The important thing is: it will be filibustered. Healthcare costs will remain high for the election, so we can avoid talking about anything else.
The House is on track Thursday to approve a three-year extension of health care tax credits that Congress let expire at the end of last year, with a growing number of Republicans poised to join Democrats to back the measure.

Sounds dangerous. 😅

Better just give them what they want, and they'll be on their way.
Everyone within a three-block radius knows they’re there, and they’re wasting so much manpower just standing around brandishing weapons. Exceptionally clear the goal is to be menacing

My pollsters have just informed me that many swing-state voters believe Somali immigrants to be the source of rising healthcare costs. So carry on, President Trump. 🫡
