If this policy and this behavior is allowed to stand than nobody is safe in their home anymore - regardless of status - and our Bill of Rights is no longer anything more than a piece of paper.

This has led to delayed or nonexistent care for untold numbers of detainees, in violation of the law and basic humanity. This is an outrage and must be rectified.

Most facilities use 3rd-party contractors for medical care in detention facilities. However, since October 3, the government has inexplicably stopped paying any of these providers, and won't do so until at least April 30, according to government sources.

Rather than fixing the gross social and economic disparities that have held our neighbors back form reaching their full potential, they would rather pretend those problems don't exist, or worse, that they're the fault of the people experiencing them.

This November, they will ask you to vote on a constitutional amendment that would prohibit state efforts to erase disparities having to do with race, gender, and ethnicity.

Then, we must raise the minimum wage to a living wage and make it easier for workers to join together and form unions.

While our constitutionally-guaranteed public schools struggle for funding and are forced to rely on property taxes to stay afloat, voucher funding automatically increases every time public school funding does.

We can't keep doing this. Public dollars should be for public schools - period.

If they’re so scared of unarmed civilians that they need to brutalize and shoot them, they have no business working in those roles.
