Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing.
They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.
The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.

@knoxharrington.bsky.social @theanfieldwrap.bsky.social just listened to the villa episode of the stats behind... Excellent show, more of these please.. temporarily using the app for listening and it's very glitchy... Had to force app restart a number of times.. is this a known issue?
