Me to Democratic leadership:

If the Democrats can pull their heads out of their AIPAC funded asses, now is the time to get a damn message out.

We're seeing a wave of anti-intellctualism in the US, a sign of darker things to come.

The Great Leap Forward suffered because of similar attitudes, and China does fine now despite its authoritarian bend because it embraces science.

We're all going to be making pig-iron in the fields one day soon.

"We will accept money from billionaires" is beyond parody.

Can we boot this moron from DNC chair now before he makes it worse?

"The word for not changing is death" has resonated with me even though I also vibe with calling death an agent of change, and I now see how they don't contradict.

You need to be changing before death does it for you.

I'm going to be asking liberals, democrats, and left wingers all the same to never shut up about the campaign promises about daily American life that Donald Trump obviously isn't going to keep.

Little sympathy for TikTok from me.

It's a ban for a bad reason, certainly.

There exist real reasons to want to restrict TikTok (along with Instagram and just about any other app that does data collection).

I can't say I would've defended it had it faced reasonable scrutiny.

I'm kind of horrified to realize that a lot of folks do buy guns with the thought in mind that they'd be in a situation where they kill another person with it.

I'm rural. Do you know why we had them? In case of coyotes eating my chickens. And the joke was on us. We lost them all to raptor birds.

It is unfortunate and perhaps even unfair that nothing but perfection is expected of the Democrats, while the Republicans can get away with poor speeches, questionable - even dangerous figures, and a lack of cohesion.

Besides how I advocate for ditching the imaginary decorum, we can only do better.

My advice: ignore whatever Donald Trump says. You aren't convincing Republicans, and you aren't winning the median voter by reacting to Trump.

Eyes on the prize. Talk about worsening healthcare and groceries and much more. They'll realize it's Trump without you saying it, and that's more powerful.

I need my union because I don't have enough self-esteem to tell my employer they're making me do too much. I'm a perfectionist in my professional life, and I don't know when to stop.

If it was all left to my decision, I'd probably work until I dropped dead from exhaustion.

I don't know who needs to see this, but I want you to know that good self-help advice is not followed forever.

You graduate from it. You become a person capable of working on your own.

it’s interesting that they’re trying to ban trans people from the military. from what i’ve heard they’re super soldiers who are too good at sports and athleticism

I'd LOVE to live in a world where proposed policy matters to the broader constituency. I have a BA in Public Policy, and I eat that stuff up. We don't have such a constituency. In the same way that I don't pay attention to American sports teams, the average person doesn't pay attention to politics.

If you're wondering why Donald Trump wins despite his policies...

Most people are not and will not be thinking deeply on policy. We few are the ones who even pretend to have read the policies, even fewer are those who actually have.

Donald Trump sells an energy; appeals to populism.

Dems don't.

No one should be complaining about cancel culture. We somehow live in an age where it's a daily news story about a political figure assaulting someone or breaking some kind of law, and nothing ever happens.
