What I now see as The Coming Clash of Civilizations should’ve been obvious. But from my old perch inside technocratic comfort, it was easy to ignore. I thought systems could save us; I didn’t realize they were eroding us. The real conflict isn’t nations or ideologies—it’s hierarchy versus humanity.

In your struggles with your abuse, fight to remember that God’s people act sometimes in ways that tell you lies about who He is. He is and always will be the God of the millstone for those who abuse and a tender Shepherd for those abused.

The length of the grieving is determined by the griever, not by how long you, as a comforter, can stand to be sad. Your work is to be with them where they are, not drag them out where you are more comfortable.

I invented a game. It’s called 4 x 3.

It’s like connections except that there are three words in each category, there are four categories, and one word is in all four categories.

Easy mode is when you know the special word. Hard is when you don’t.

I caused a small ruckus on some of my social media yesterday with my post about hell and God's wrath related to the gospel. This needs more than a handful of characters to deal with, so I've written a fuller blog post. Be kind to each other out there!

Hell, God’s Wrath, and the Gospel
It’s amazing how upset some Christians get when you question God’s wrath. I posted this on my social media the other day: If the gospel is that Jesus died to appease God’s wrath against us be…

Why Are Christian Colleges Fighting Culture Wars? Fear
Instead of fighting culture wars, Christian institutions could attend to the faithful transformation of the next generation, and John Hawthorne knows how.
