I didn't have to do the step for Post-Processing, but just be aware it's there if you're trying to convert other shaders manually.

On the Flexible Color Picker script component, be sure to turn off "Main static" under "Advanced Settings".

Unity 6 may require other steps, like disabling batching.

Position where you paste things in does matter, make sure you put everything in the right place.

In Step 1 you don't need the vertex or uv definitions, only UNITY_VERTEX_INPUT_INSTANCE_ID. Which doesn't need a semicolon after it, but the struct itself does.

I missed the "vert" thing for so long.

Oh, no, that wasn't the issue. And I "solved" the sticking issue (I was modifying the wrong set of controls when using an Animation Rig), it was a different but still Unity animation-related problem I had, so I was bumping that as an "Every time, I can't just do something quick with it" grumble.

I'm really not sure what you mean by that. In this instance, I seemingly had to pick the GameObject in the Unity timeline, then I could add Animation Properties. But to actually preview my animation work, I then had to select the individual animation file. It worked enough to get it done tonight.

Okay, select the character with the animator for the 30th time, then this time the dropdown will actually include the animation I added to the animator a while ago and have the ability to add properties. Got it.
