The burger shop next to Antonio's in Amherst, open only around 2002 and 2003. The five dollar chili cheese fries fed me for an entire summer.

The Italian place on 166th and Redmond Way and their annual garlic fest, turned into an expensive hotel.

Probably! I need to follow up with my doctor but yeah, I am mostly upright now.
January 17, 2026 at 5:36 AM
I did get TWO WHOLE PAIRS of grippy socks tho because I went in without shoes so the nurse gave me bonus socks so I wouldn't like, freeze to death when I walked out... 10 hours after I got to the ER.
January 17, 2026 at 5:35 AM
I mean, a significant amount of the dehydration was from the hospital wait, and I got bonus kidney damage from it, but it's better than being dead. /shrug

Anyway yeah there are so many systematic problems but people are doing their best and also wear fucking masks and get rid of RFK I guess.
January 17, 2026 at 5:32 AM
Anyway, eventually I did get a bed in the hallway and also eventually an IV, and my numbers were like, not utterly terrible anymore after several liters of liquids and I was able to actually be upright again. Still no idea what went wrong, but hypothermia and dehydration were the Big Problems.
January 17, 2026 at 5:30 AM
It's as if the medical system is completely overwhelmed. It makes sense it took me that long to get a bed because of reasonable triage protocols. Like in my hours of delirium I've seen a lot of people who really need a hospital bed way more than me.
January 17, 2026 at 5:28 AM
Because of very sensible protocols the medics weren't able to give me liquids or an IV until a doctor deems it okay, which normally would be okay except it took 4 hours before I was able to get a bed in the ER and another half hour before an IV was available.

The first worst way would be via a puncture wound.
January 17, 2026 at 5:25 AM
Turns out because I wasn't wearing much clothing and was mostly sprawled on a (bathroom tile) floor I ended up hypothermic (the first temp reading I was coherent enough to remember was 35), and was stupid dehydrated due to 3 hours of getting all the liquids out of my body in the second worst way.
January 17, 2026 at 5:25 AM
Eventually like, 3 hours of this (plus the inability to stand, walk, or really exist) later, I managed to finally call 911 and crawled half naked to the door where the fire department met me, tossed a blanket on me, and put me in an ambulance where they put as many heat packs as they could on me.

It's so good (running the largest prerelease I've ever run rn ppl are loving it).
January 17, 2026 at 5:15 AM
Anyway, I still love my Quivers (esp their stickerability), but I really love how the Keep is soft and works better with the Gamegenic token holders. :3 Also it's perfect for 4 decks (a silly bracket 1, two reasonable decks, and CEDH or annoying situational deck) plus a deck box of tokens, and dice.

It's like I see it on a table out of the corner of my eye and I'm like STINKY BOY NO YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ON HERE and then oh it's just... I forgot to put my decks away after commander night oop.
