I painted this bone china mug more than 30 years ago. After being fired it went to a family friend. I was amazed to find that it's been used, treasured and survived all these years. It was part of a set. It's companion was broken but there is still a teapot #artadventcalender #chinapainting

I'm not a trained artist but I do enjoy painting. One thing that has really helped me is Van Gogh's Bedroom in Arles. I traced the main components and then tried to mix colours and add details. For the first time I felt I truly looked at the painting and this exercise gave me so much confidence

What a treat #artadventcalender is, with so much inspiration. Here's one of the sculptures I'm working on. Lots to do still... The nose is too long so I need to shorten it for starters. I'm very new to sculpture but I've wanted to try a horse head for a very long time #pottery
