We are excited to share that one of the recipients of this years "Wübben Student Grant" is master student Frédéric Sonak, who is working on a collaborative project between our SFB 1381 projects B10 (Claudine Kraft) and project YIG05 (Viviane Timmermann).

Congratulations 🎉 to our project A01 for their latest publication:

The team of our SFB 1381 PI Sonja Albers identified the archaellum machinery in several bacterial strains and solved the structure of the bacterial archaellum from Litorilinea aerophila using cryoEM.

Who would have thought I would ever publish an article about a bacterium?
But here it is, but of course only because Litorilinea aerophilum actually has an archaellum!
