In 2022, my final project for an MPA technology class was on election tech. Final slides were Bush/Gore and Riley/Siegelman (AL). Some of the class was 😲, and I suspect some thought I was making stuff up.

Yes. I’ve had to explicitly teach this to my own high school aged children. The idea that there used to be some level civility in American politics is foreign to them.
