Trans people are not an ideology or an ism. Trans Rights are Human Rights. Trans kids know who they are. anti-fascist, anti-racist, activist, feminist, shape shifter, gardener, water protector, tantrik, knitter, musician, wanderer, cynic, eternal optimist

Y'all who keep lecturing protesters to "not give them an excuse" need to pause for a minute. Imagine yourself telling a DV victim, "Be sure not to mouth off or make any mistakes so he won't hit you. Don't give him an excuse! It's what he wants!" That's what you fools sound like.

Somewhere in America there’s a trans woman living in a windmill saying, “The fuck he just say about me???”

"But there is such a thing as boundaries, b*tch!" *smack* (but only if she was touched first)

The temerity of some people!

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in the Bronx and Harlem at our paper shredding events — we cleared out old junk mail, built community, danced, took family portraits and enjoyed frozen treats (it still felt a lot like summer). Thanks to everyone who joined.

I'm still making my way through this, but see immediately how brilliant it is. It's broadly applicable to any set of disparate knowledge systems.

Embassy and kinship work at the borders is key if we're going to navigate beyond this toxic divisiveness that's been engineered. And we must.

I never thought I'd be that condescending to a woman after all the times I've been on the receiving end of that kind of shit, but damn it, it's not the first time she's done that shit. I've patiently explained and educated her on Long Covid and exercise, and I'm over it.

Me: Doc, I have this new symptom ...

Doc: You need to do this exercise ...

Me: Sweetheart, I've been doing that for years. That ain't it.

PSA: If I call you "sweetheart", especially if I barely know you, and doubly so if you outrank me, you're on dangerously thin ice.

I don't have words to convey how wrong this is, on so many levels. Incredibly sad.

Post-launch, they're going to bring an AI ethics person on??
Post-launch??? Probably???

I don't even have words for how wrong all of this is.

Isn't he just a beacon of light in the darkness? He gives me hope. Still haven't gotten my hands on his latest. Enjoying his many interviews and podcasts, though.

Oh, for pity's sake. Domestic Economic Terrorism? 🤦‍♂️🧟‍♂️

Huh! Perhaps #LongCovid is what's jacking my nervous system up these days, and not me failing to "do the work" to manage my cPTSD.

F'n Long Covid, the gift that keeps on giving.

It's a tiny study, but will prompt bigger ones, which is promising. They need to start cranking out therapies, though.

Results are validating: the brains of long COVID sufferers are physically different. They exhibit signs of inflammation, biochemical imbalances, & a diminished capacity to adapt to stress—all of which may be key to understanding their cognitive difficulties.

Study Finds Long COVID Disrupts Brain Adaptability and Emotional Health
It starts quietly for many. A lingering headache. A missed word. A mental blank where a memory used to be.…

Me. Before my brain injury, I detested people. I went into IT Operations so I could be locked in a data center all day & kick & swear at the servers when they didn't do what I wanted them to.

After my brain injury, I loved people! Found them fascinating and could listen to them talk for hours.

Scientists Finally Reveal Biological Basis of Long COVID Brain Fog.

Patients with brain fog may have disrupted AMPA receptor (AMPAR) expression—key molecules for memory and learning. Imaging of Long COVID patients showed elevated AMPAR density tied to more severe cognitive impairment.

I don't understand how people who claim to be #CollapseAware and/or are deeply involved with caring for the earth and the environment are using AI for frivolous things, like generating whimsical photos and summaries of articles assigned as required reading for a course. Can anyone explain that?

I think their little dog and pony show is making the statement that they consider their whims are much more important than the time, trouble, expense, and security risk of getting the top military brass in one room, and everyone better know it. Chilling.

Thank you for pointing me to that. It's reassuring that at least someone with a platform gets it and is willing to speak to it.

Heather Cox Richardson is once again constantly spouting hopium, like she did before the election, saying their power is crumbling, and I think that's dangerous.
