Seems pretty standard for conservatives reacting to armed black populations. This isn't much of a stretch.

I am 100% sure it's already been done.

ICE took a cell phone. Cops on Atlanta took over $100 million from travelers, mostly Black, and didn't even pretend to charge most of them with a crime.

So yes, cops do beat up 10th graders. And cops do steal cash and other items of value from innocent people.

Craig, they're already breaking laws for federal officers.

Laws aren't accountability. They are an avenue toward it, but without being enforced, they're just words on a page.

If you cannot make “these people are leaving BABIES in CARS in WINTER and then returning them to their carekeepers with BRUISES” into popular sentiment as a politician, you’re either inept or you want this to keep happening.

They beat up a tenth grader! (Who is a US citizen, but it shouldn’t matter, why the fuck do you beat up a kid.)

They stole his phone and tried to resell it!
Yes, immigration agents not only took Arnoldo's phone, the 10th grader had to use Find My Phone to locate it — in a vending machine for used electronics, close to an ICE detention center.

It's very easy to dismiss notions of demanding change with a "that won't do anything" handwave.

How much does that contribute to anything, I wonder?

If you think removing an entire department will just expand another department to take those people and carry on, what accountability do you think is reasonable to ask for?

I can just as easily counter a prosecution suggestion with "they'll just pardon everyone/have SCOTUS shadow docket dismiss."
