i think this is meant to have it work better with Plaguespreader since Doomkaiser Dragon NEEDS Plaguespreader as a Tuner plus their levels match Doomkaisers AND Lich's face is literally the face of Doomkaiser Assaule Modes Armor

the field spell's 3rd effect is probably the best since it basically lets you bring out the assault mode without summoning it's synchro counterpart.

I can see it being used mostly with T.G. Halberd since that card has a hefty 4500ATK/DEF AND can negate multiple summons

tbh EVERY archetype from the 5Ds era got much needed improvements during the Legacy support Era since the cards are no longer tied to the anime promotions and can just fix or allow synergy between the cards.

Night Wing Priestess is a decent body since she helps extend your plays by bringing out Psi-reflector who itself supports Assault Mode cards and brings your synchros out faster

Assault Lich is good since it can be used for the other synchro monsters with Assault modes OR because of its other effect to treat itself as a non-tuner it can self-revive Plaguespreader since that Tuner is needed for Doomkaiser Dragon. and it lets you search for other Assault mode cards
